He attended school like every growing child in Rivers state, he was enrolled into the Montessori International School where he finished his primary education and later attended Corona, Agbara in Lagos state, Nigeria, he finished his secondary school education. While in school his love for music grew wide and strong.

Early Life and Education
Starting at the age of ten, he began making music when a friend of his shared with him a software, he worked on an old computer. After his secondary education he moved to London to further and attend a university, he was arrested for being a part of a gang that had allegedly stabbed a person to death, this took place in 2010, but could not continue his education after two years which made him come back to Nigeria. At age 19 he was back again to Nigeria, where he worked in an old studio with LeriQ.

Coming back to Nigeria and making the Nigerian kind of music was a big challenge to him, because he had always wanted to create his own unique sound, growing up as a young child he preferred the likes of DMX and some other foreign songs, moving down to his country made him appreciate the likes of Fela. He fell in love with Afro sound and reggae which made him create his own unique content. His father loved his kind of music and he was able to preach a message through his songs.

Career
Creating his own music was his goal at that moment, alongside Leriq he was able to make his first hit, which was well accepted in the country. Although his first single was more like a pop sound it was accepted. Burna Boy released Like To Party and dropped the video thereafter which was shot by Squareball media services. This song made the name Burna Boy a household name in the Nigerian music industry, his song was mostly played at clubs, bars, and even DJ Mixtape.

Following the release of Like To Party which was a huge success, he dropped another single which he titled Tonight which was released 24th September 2012, follow suit was the video which was released December, this video talks about his Innate feelings. The year 2013, was a year for Burna Boy in which he released his first studio album which he titled L.I.F.E which means Living An Impact For Eternity. This album featured lots of artists like wizkid, M.I, Timaya, and 2face. Burna Boy used this album to carve out a name for himself in the industry. In 2014, he split from his Record label Aristokrat record which made him open his own Spaceship Entertainment, he became the boss of himself.

Spaceship Entertainment was founded in 2015. He released a Sophomore album that same year which he titled on a Spaceship. In 2016, he released a 7 track EP which he titled REDEMPTION, the EP which had a lead single titled Pree Me. 2017 Burna Boy teamed up with producer Jul’s to drop a new song which he titled Rock Your Body, he did something more diverse than his usual kind of music in this track.

Throughout 2017, Burna Boy worked hard as he delivered lots of singles like Sekkle Down ft J Hus, GBA, Streets of Africa, Koni Baje With an added single of Lily Allen Heaven’s Gate.

2018 was a year Burna Boy came with full force into the music industry, he was widely accepted both home and abroad. Burna Boy dropped various tracks which were a hit and prompted him to win many awards in the industry. January 2018, he was featured on a track Sunshine Riptide on Fall Out Boy’s Album which was nominated for the Grammy Awards. He released his third studio album for 2018 which was titled Outside, this was his big break to stardom, Outside was debuted at number three on Billboards Reggae Album charts.
